To follow the launch of Streamline (the fifty-seventh yacht which bear the Mondomarine’s logo) six motoryachts are already under construction at the Shipyard: one light alloy Semidisplacement 41 Metres (external lines by Cor D. Rover, interior design by Luca Dini, delivery 2010); two light alloy Semidisplacement 41 Metres (external lines by Cor D. Rover the first and by Giorgio Vafiadis the second, both with interior design by Luca Dini, delivery 2011); two light alloy Semidisplacement 50 Metres (external lines by Giorgio Vafiadis, interior design by Luca Dini, delivery 2011); and one light alloy Semidisplacement 50 Metres (external lines by Giorgio Vafiadis, delivery 2012).
Moreover a light alloy Semidisplacement 43 Metres with external lines by Luca Dini, a light alloy 52 Metres Fast with external lines by Luca Dini, a steel and light alloy Displacement 64 Metres with external lines by Giorgio Vafiadis and a Semidisplacement 56 Metres are at an advanced design stage.
The Shipyard is easily reachable. It is sheltered from the winds, occupies a total area of 35,500 square metres, 9,500 of which are covered, has at its disposal 100 metres of pier for mooring of maxiyachts and is furthermore equipped with a 820 tons travel-lift and a 300 tons trailer. A new covered shed of about 2,500 square metres will be ready within the next year.
Mondomarine places side by side its new constructions with the refitting of prestigious yachts; the mayor refit completed by the Shipyard during 2004 is Over The Rainbow (formerly Classique), a 34 metres wooden motoryacht of 1930, built by Dickie & Sons of Bangor, North Wales. Over The Rainbow’s Owner was the worldwide famous belgian artist Jean Michel Folon, died before his time at the end of 2005.
With all these recent contracts, Mondomarine, managed by the brothers Elio and Ferruccio Stroppiana, both Chairman, the Managing Director and General Manager Diego Deprati and the Production Manager Angelo Giaccone, has definitively consolidated its international standing in the large motoryachts sector, and at the same time became a member of that somewhat exclusive club of shipyards, who are capable of building yachts in light alloy and/or steel while at the same time have a full service refit sector.
