Mondomarine “MANIFIQ” by Cor D. Rover and Luca Dini
First launch of the year for Mondomarine.
She was delivered to her Owner “MANIFIQ”, a semidisplacement light alloy 41 metres, the fifty-eighth yacht which boasts the logo Mondomarine.
MANIFIQ is signed once again by Cor D. Rover for the concept design and exterior styling and Luca Dini for the interior design while the the naval architecture is, as usual, by Mondomarine.
The Semidisplacement 41 Metres MANIFIQ, the fifty-eighth yacht which boasts the logo Mondomarine, consolidates the cooperation between the Shipyard, Cor D. Rover, responsible for the concept design and exterior styling, and Luca Dini, for the interior design, split on a large salon with dining room and the Owner’s suite on the main deck, a lounge convertible into a cinema on the upper deck and four guest’s cabins on the lower deck; the bow and the stern are VIP full beam, while the center are one twins and one double.
The outdoor areas for relaxation are located mainly forward of the wheelhouse – with a wide sun-deck area – and, above all, on the sun-deck, perfectly equipped with bar and barbecue, dining area and solarium with a jacuzzi of generous dimensions. The interior decor, taste vaguely Art Deco, is characterized by meticulous attention to detail style and, in the common spaces, by the contrast between the dark woods and white tissues while the cabins are made warmer by the presence of leather details as the base and the headboard of the beds.
Like all the latest yachts of the Shipyard also this Semidisplacement 41 Metres is designed by Mondomarine for all structures, hydrodynamic and technicality. Powered by a couple of 2,255 hp MTU engines MANIFIQ can reach the maximum speed of 19 knots.
To follow the launch of MANIFIQ five motoryachts are already under construction at the Shipyard: two 41 Metres and two 50 Metres scheduled to be delivered nex year and one 50 Metres for 2012.
Moreover a light alloy Semidisplacement 43 Metres, a light alloy 52 Metres Fast and a steel and light alloy Displacement 64 Metres are at an advanced design stage.
During the wintertime Mondomarine integrated the activities of the new constructions with the one of the refit & repair, more than a dozen of yachts with a length of between thirty and fifty metres have “wintered” on the forecourt and along the pier of the Shipyard to be subjected to ordinary and extraordinary maintenance, activities in which Mondomarine put all its thirty years of experience and that of all the subcontractors which are part of its great “family”.
The début of Mondomarine at Fort Lauderdale
After the attendance at the Festival de la Plaisance in Cannes and at the Monaco Yacht Show, Mondomarine participated for the first time to the International Boat Show in Fort Lauderdale (U.S.), the world capital of yachting.
“The United States – said the CEO Diego Deprati – represents for us a market waiting to be discovered; until now, in fact, we had only one American customer, on the other hand a personal relationship of the Yard’s ownership, for whom we have realized two yachts.
Thus, after thirty-one years since the foundation of Mondomarine, was ripe for us the time to present on this market too, though remaining faithful to our policy, that is to make small steps forward and above all safe, without risking of having to make as many back. Our type of product is certainly attractive also for U.S. owners, especially because in our market niche the currency problem is not so crucial. The motivation is that the quality of the European and Italian yachtbuilding industry in the production of mega-yachts fears no comparisons.
We are also confident that the American market can reserve us an outlet in the medium term and we have no hurry; the international economic crisis began in the U.S. and from this country will have to come the first signs of recovery. The potentials are enormous and so it was only right to follow the current and try. The next step in this exploratory phase will be to choose between a representative office or to rely on a local partner, but it is still early to talk about”.
The year 2009 of Mondomarine has already seen three different launches: the first was that of the 50 meters Toy-A, designed by Giorgio Vafiadis, followed by the 41 meters Alexander Two signed by Cor D. Rover and Luca Dini and finally by the 50 meters Streamline, the work by a design team composed by Cor D. Rover, Luca Dini and Frederic Mechiche.
After the launch of Streamline (the fifty-seventh yacht bearing the logo Mondomarine) the Shipyard is currently building five other motor yachts: three 41 meters and two 50 meters semidisplacement yachts with deliveries scheduled between 2010 and 2011.
