The Semidisplacement 50 Metres Toy-A consolidates the cooperation between Mondomarine and Giorgio Vafiadis who is behind the exterior styling and the interior design of this yacht. Realized to be mainly used in the Mediterranean this project gives priority to the areas for relaxing outdoor, located forward of the wheelhouse – with a wide sun-deck area – and, above all, on the sun-deck subdivided in a gym and in a solarium perfectly equipped with bar and barbecue, dining area and jacuzzi of generous dimensions. On the contrary the interiors are divided into an Owner’s suite on the main deck, a VIP cabin on the upper deck and four guest cabins on the lower deck. A large salon with dining room on the main deck and a lounge on the upper deck complete the layout of the interiors. Like all the latest yachts of the Shipyard also this Semidisplacement 50 Metres was designed, for the whole structural part, hydrodynamics and technology, by Mondomarine.
Powered by a pair of MTU of 2,735 hp each Toy-A is able to reach a maximum speed of 20 knots.
From the aft cockpit, simply furnished with table, chairs and sofa, you gain access to the main salon, very bright thanks to its large windows. The high-quality light fabrics used for the sofas and armchairs that make comfortable this room create a nice contrast with the darker wood of the furnishings; two sofas and four opposite chairs are served by two low oblong tables and four large table lamps made of precious porcelain skilfully contribute to make warmer and more diffuse the light that floods the area, dedicated to relaxation and conversation, aft of the salon. A middle piece of furniture with a retractable TV ideally separates the relaxation area from the dining area, furnished with a wooden table of exquisite workmanship and richly inlaid in marble; ten armchairs in neoclassical style and four table lamps with frosted crystal base complete the furnishings of this area.
Forward the salon a large and bright access, with floor in marble decorated with a polychrome compass rose, leads to the lower deck, the upper deck and the Owner’s suite, consisting of an office, a cabin and a bathroom. The Owner’s office, which basically takes the corridor that leads into the cabin, is furnished with a large bookcase on the left side and a low piece of furniture, a face-to-face desk and two armchairs, like those of the dining room, starboard; in the middle of the cabin, the double bed with headboard in light capitonnè worked leather ideally separates the starboard area, with armchairs and coffee table for breakfast, from the port area provided with the comfortable sofa close to the large windows; the bathroom, with the floor and walls of the bath and shower in marble and mosaic, completes the Owner’s suite.
The galley, fully in steel and modernly equipped, occupies a wide part of the left side of the main deck and is connected to the dining room by a large space that houses the technical equipment, the pantry and the dumbwaiter that goes up to the sun-deck.
The lower deck, to which you go down from the access of the main deck trough an elegant stair with crystal bulkheads, includes two double cabins, with little sofa and vanity, and two cabins with twin beds. Also the bathrooms of these cabins are characterized by the use of marble and mosaic.
Still on the lower deck is housed the crew quarters with dinette, laundry and five cabins with two overlapped beds.
A spacious and quiet VIP cabin is located in the middle of the upper deck while the aft area of the deck is occupied by a second lounge, large and bright; the salon is ideally divided into conversation and relaxation area, furnished with sofas, armchairs and a low table starboard, and play area port; the pantry of this area is also used for breakfast and cocktails to be served in the outside cockpit.
The forward part of the deck is occupied by the wheelhouse, the office of the Captain and his cabin.
The sun-deck houses a gym under the large roll-bar, a dining area forward with bar, barbecue and two tables for eight guests each and the solarium with a Jacuzzi of generous dimensions that occupies the stern area of the deck.
