Once again Mondomarine proposes the couple Cor D. Rover (for the concept design and exterior styling) and Frederic Mechiche & Luca Dini (for the interior design) for the steel and light alloy Displacement 50 Metres Streamline.
As for all the latest yachts of the Shipyard the naval architecture is by Mondomarine.
The interior zoning, very full of light and fitted out in a minimalist style, is flexible and suitable for different needs and situations.
While the main deck is divided with a classic layout – salon, dining room and Owner’s suite – on the lower deck there are three double cabins for guests plus an area which, according to circumstances, may be used as a double cabin or as a study.
Also on the upper deck the sky-lounge can be easily transformed into a VIP stateroom with ensuite bathroom.

Luca Dini describes below the interiors of Streamline.
“The interiors of Streamline were designed by me and Frederic Mechiche with the active participation of the Owners, available and aware of their desires and their needs.
Actually entering the main salon you feel immediately a very personal and unusual way of living spaces; it highlights in fact the importance paid by the Owners to the dining area, with an unusual layout with two square tables that, if need be, may join in one large structure with sea view. Hence not conceived as a division between two distinct spaces, but as a continuity, as the threshold between interior and exterior and vice versa, this area takes on a new connotation that reveals a desire to interact with the outside, evoked then in the living area, with large windows overlooking the sea, the element of surprise of the whole yacht. From the main cockpit you would like to enter, to discover, to understand and live this area.

The whole main deck is conceived as a large open living space. The walls and bulkheads are white lacquered to lighten and almost dematerialize volumes, giving rise to large and bright rooms. From the dining area you are immediately plunged into a private relaxation area, in a small room dedicated solely to meditation, which is characterized by a large chaise longue, a sort of anticipation of the real living area fitted out with modern sofas that on the contrary delimit the conversation areas creating asymmetric geometries between angular modules and single elements.
Sophistication and elegance are therefore the two key elements that we find as a motif of continuity in all rooms, created by suggestive contrasts between the light and cool shades of lacquering and corian and the warm notes of essences. The teak, used to characterize the most important walls, is expertly evoked in some details of the furnishings realized following the architect’s design or in the design elements by great contemporary masters such as, for example, Charles Eames and represents, in this case, a real bridge and motif of integration between internal and external. Each detail, each little space was weighted accurately and is the result of a careful research that aimed to fulfil the most individual habits of the Owners. All possible spaces have been exploited to create valuable recesses and bookshelves able to change, to transform, but, above all, to furnish the environment as real flexible sculptures, knock-down ad infinitum, multifunctional and equipped with a strong harmony between strength and lightness.

Going into Streamline you meet laminates, glossy and matt, corian, treated leathers and surfaces in a special harmony of purposes.
Up to reach the Owner’s suite. Located on the main deck, it declines the shades of white and the reflectance of mirrors and steels on the large wall cupboard and on the finishes of the furniture in all possible suggestions. The headboard wall was realized in teak, as well as the strip running on it, inside which were obtained recesses skilfully lighted to create an intimate and private atmosphere. To complete the large suite a double bathroom with top in black corian in contrast with white lacquering, teak and chromium plating of accessories.
The cockpit of the main deck has a structural sitting and two free sofas to recreate another intimate area for conversation, this time completely placed outside, in direct contact with the sea air.

Still from the main deck, through the elegant ladder in teak or by means of the spacious lift, you gain access to the lower deck, divided into four guest cabins, and to the upper deck, where there is another spacious salon with living area. To create bright suggestions to this environment, so important, it’s the natural light which, from outside, passes through a large skylight on the sun deck and lights, thanks to crystal inserts on the floor, the whole yacht as far as the lower deck, modifying and broadening the perception of spaces themselves. Before the ladder there is the large lift, completely covered in crystal and framed by stripes in stainless steel, it also links the three bridges. The four cabins on the lower deck, two VIP with double bed and two twins, are characterized by the uniformity of materials and are distinguished by the different tissues selected from the various shades of linens. Really, the two VIP cabins were designed as environments communicating with each other, in order to be able to create, if necessary, another one large suite through the large sliding doors of which they are equipped.

Even for the upper deck the design is played on harmony and contrast of shapes and colours in search for a contemporary style. The extreme cleanliness of the coverings and the linearity of the interior layout of spaces and the cuts of light created on the slope of the sides are strongly desired, as well as the bright and delicate white of the walls that highlights the significant material and chromatic effects created by reflections on some mirror surfaces. A retractable wall hides the possibility of creating in this elegant space, as needed, a suggestive suite with double bed and private bathroom and direct access to the cockpit.
The sun-deck, characterized by a structural semicircular sofa overlooking the large skylight, is furnished with the same principle of the main salon, having given a particular relief to the area dedicated to dining and created around this one, as if to enhance it further, some small areas dedicated to relaxation.
Rigor and essentiality, characteristics evoked even in the name Streamline, emerge as the main impression from the elegant and harmonious choice of furnishings, details and effects to surprise”.
